Who we are?

Setba Zona d'Art is a multi-purpose cultural space located in the heart of Barcelona and its purpose is to host exhibitions, presentations, workshops and various activities.

Setba is located in Barcelona’s Plaza Real. The building was built on the original site of the Santa Madrona convent, a convent that was destroyed when convents and monasteries were raised to the ground in 1935. We suggest you to come up and visit aour exhibition and the space, you'll be pleased, for sure!

Inaugurated in November 2007 Setba offers the charm of a traditional flat in the very heart of Barcelona. The property used by Setba Zona d’Art was built in the nineteenth century in the neoclassical style, and it retains the original mosaic floors, its crown-moldings and seven large windows that overlook Plaza Real that lends its name to this art gallery, forming an acronym from Set (seven in Catalan) and Ba (balconies).

In 2010, the private project Setba Zona d’Art created the Setba Foundation.

The Foundation’s 3 core pillars and key activities centre on the promotion of art and culture, to protect those who are at risk of being excluded socially, and to preserve the environment.
